Program Description:

Norway & Sweden Agribusiness
The purpose of this course is to expose students to international agribusiness, aquaculture including farm-raised and wild caught businesses, seafood processing and marketing, and agricultural research. Through experiences with traveling overseas, students will also be able to identify and will examine distinguishing characteristics, including agricultural issues, economic structures, technological similarities and differences, education models, research agendas, ideas, values, images, cultural artifacts, and attitudes of people in a society or culture outside of the United States.

Students will learn about each destination, to gain a perspective on European agribusiness, culture, laws, and history.  During these sessions, we will have a combination of guest lecturers, student presentations, and discussions about the various aspects of culture and business.  Students will research and present information on a variety of topics.
