Program Description:
Italy: Sport, Tourism
Study abroad in the world famous Tuscany area of Italy!  NC State students will experience firsthand the impact that tourism, sport and events have had on the development of the Italian culture.  Student will visit historical, as well as modern sites, that have provided big economic impacts, as well as provided sustainability for the area; such as the Rimini Wellness Fair, the Roman Coliseum, the Vincigliata Medieval Castle, the thermal baths, CONI, and much more.  Immersed in the community, students will enhance their understanding of the culture, as well as the sport and tourism industry, as they experience a new adventure each day!

Students are required to participate in pre-departure and online sessions to create awareness of the culture, customs and rituals of the Italian society.  Once in Italy, class sessions will be experiential with experts leading discussions and site visits.  Participants are required to register for both courses.  Instruction is in English and co-taught with LdM Faculty.
