Program Description:
DR:Ag and Environmental Scienc

This program is designed to give an exploration of topics related to agricultural and environmental sciences. The group will be visiting a variety of locations that will provide an overview of natural resource management in agricultural businesses. Students will also have a hands on opportunity to learn about different management practices of agricultural systems that incorporate the broad overview of topics related to sustainability relative to the plant and soil sciences. Students will have access to local Dominican field experts as well as local faculty and students that will accompany them on site visits. 

Students will gain hands-on learning experience with environmental science and will experience being a part of a local conference on best management practices related to turfgrass science and other agricultural practices. Students will also have the option of enrolling in a 1 credit Crop & Soil Science course on international learning experience to prepare them for their time abroad.
