Program Description:
Greece Design and Social Innov

Study graphic design on a service-learning oriented program in Greece. On this course, students will work with individuals and institutions to assist them through design services. Students will further their research abilities and develop design solutions working with participatory design principles. The program will work closely with the Kosemetatos Foundation and the 35th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities in Kefalonia on community oriented projects. For more information, please see the informational website and contact the program director.

This program will be counted as equivalent to a GD 400 6 credit hour studio course. Students in Greece will work with other students and their on-site instructor to do on-site fieldwork with two institutions. There will be a 2 week intensive research period including lectures and practicums, 3 weeks of design prototyping and scenario building in the community, and the program will conclude with the implementation of design solutions.
