Program Description:
London College of Fashion is one of the foremost centres of fashion education in the world. LCF offers a dynamic, challenging and fun student experience. Both your studies and social life will be enriched by London and all that it has to offer as a world capital of fashion and culture. They have campuses across London, as shown on their map.

London College of Fashion, UAL is a world leader in fashion design, media and business education. They have been nurturing creative talent for over a century, offering courses in all things fashion. London College of Fashion's Study Abroad Program offers students from all over the world, graduates, or those considering a career change - the opportunity to study a range of fashion-related courses in London. London College of Fashion offers students specialist facilities - equipment, tools and resources - across six London sites. This includes the biggest fashion library and archive in the UK (the library was redeveloped in 2013), sample and sewing rooms, a 3D modelling room, cosmetic science labs, visual merchandising suites and make-up studios. Hear from LCF students who have participated in the study abroad program.

Students may participate in the program during the fall, spring, or academic year semesters. Undergraduate study abroad programs are offered in the fields of Fashion Business, Fashion Product Design, and Fashion Media and Communication. Each program has three mandatory courses (units), with elective units making up the remaining selections (up to a maximum of 16 credits). All three programs include a fashion and culture field trip to Paris, which is included as part of the program cost.

The Transfer Credit Database lists courses that have been previously approved for NC State students at UAL and London College of Fashion. Please note: their applicability to a specific degree program varies by department. This list is not inclusive.  Additional courses can be approved for credit by using the course approval form and process, which is a part of the application for study abroad.  Please refer to the academic information on the host university website for all courses available to study abroad students.
LCF's accommodation allotment is located very centrally, close to Marble Arch and Hyde Park. The main college site at John Prince's Street is within walking distance, but you may/will need to travel to other College sites each day by public transport. There are a limited number of places for study abroad students, and accommodation places are distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, it's critical to complete your accommodation application as soon as your place on the program has been confirmed and you are ready to pay for your accommodation.

Travel Docs
Students who enter the UK with a U.S. Passport will study under one of two visa categories. Students studying for a maximum of six months, and who WILL NOT be performing any kind of paid or unpaid work, work placement, or work experience during their studies will enter with the short-term student visa (most students fall into this category). Students who will study more than six months, or students who study less than six months but will work or intern in the UK are required to have a tier 4 visa. Your host institution will provide you with further visa instructions and procedures only after you have received their letter of official acceptance. Review the link below for further student visa information.
