PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Study abroad in the world-famous French Riviera! NC State students will experience first hand the impact that tourism, sports, and events have on the cultural aspects of the French and Italian Provence. Students will visit historical and modern sites that have provided the area with big businesses such as the Cannes Film Festival and Historical Monaco Indy car races, as well as provided a destination for international congresses and conventions.

ACADEMICS
There are several required pre-trip sessions to create awareness of the culture, customs, and rituals of French society. Once in France, class sessions will be experiential with experts leading discussions and site visits. The courses include perceptions, traditions versus modernity, community planning and development (mass tourism vs sustainable activities).
