As a cosmopolitan city with over 8 million residents, Bangkok is known for its night life and shopping. Mass transit makes it easy to travel around and explore this busy, on-the-go city. Tourism is the city's main revenue generator, but this port city also has a substantial trade industry. The average temperature is 90 degrees year round.
Chulalongkorn University was founded in 1917 with the purpose of educating individuals for leadership roles in the public and private sectors. The University is composed of 41 faculties, departments, colleges, academic, research, and service institutes, and academic offices. It is the only Thai university ranked in the The Times Higher World's Top 200. The total student population at Chulalongkorn is approximately 40,000.

The Transfer Credit Database lists courses that have been previously approved at Chulalongkorn University. Please note: their applicability to a specific degree program varies by department. This list is not inclusive. Additional courses can be approved for credit by using the course approval form and process, which is a part of the application for study abroad. Please refer to the academic information on the host university website for all courses available to study abroad students.
Students have the opportunity to live on-campus or off campus.
On-Campus Housing: On-campus housing is extremely limited due to the area the university is located. If you wish to live on-campus, apply far in advance to secure a spot. On-campus housing is available at the Suksit Nives International House which has air conditioning, 24 hour security and a fire prevention system. On-campus housing is also available at the U-Center dormitory. Prices range from 3,650-7,500 Baht/person/month depending on room type.
Off-Campus Housing: Chulalongkorn University has agreements with several nearby apartment buildings. These apartments have modern amenities and standard apartment appliances. The prices range steeply depending on location and apartment type.
