Program Description:
Prague is a magical city of castles, cathedrals, and cafes. Since the 1989 Velvet Revolution when the communist government was overthrown, Prague, once again, became the v [Old Town Square] ibrant Heart of Europe. Eleven centuries of architecture provide examples from the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Art Nouveau, Cubist and Functionalist periods. Its rich cultural history in music, art, literature and theater inspired Dvorák, Kafka and Mucha.
