Program Description:
Canada: Sustainable Use of Natural Resources

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
We will travel and study with students from Sweden's University of Agricultural Sciences and Purdue University through forested, high desert, and urban landscapes of the Canadian and US Pacific Northwest. Along the way, we'll share our varied perspectives and insights about natural resource management. We will encounter the traditions and issues surrounding First Nations people and examine the social, economic, and environmental opportunities and challenges of using natural resources sustainably. Lodging will be at university campuses and field stations.

ACADEMICS
Field excursions hosted by local faculty and resource managers in the Canadian and US Pacific Northwest will support our ability to compare and contrast the sustainability of natural resource use in a variety of settings.
