Program Description:
Oaxaca is classified as one of the top three Mexican states in biodiversity including flora, terrestrial fauna, and marine fauna and is also one of the top states in the horticultural production of agave and organic coffee and is the origin of cultivated crops such as corn. 
 
Learning objectives for the program include:
·       Immersion and understanding of the different factors (Agricultural, architectural, economic, environmental and cultural) influencing the sustainability in México
·       Interact with local scientist, farmers and students
·       Experience the ecosystem diversity of a geographically unique area in México (valley, ocean, mountains, forest)
·       Become immersed in the Spanish language and Mexican culture
·       Become acquainted with the landscape and architecture unique to south México
·       Increase the ability to share the understanding towards each other cultures and worlds
