NC State students may study abroad through any program sponsored by a U.S. accredited institution, accredited third-party provider, or direct enroll at an accredited institution overseas. Programs vary, and you will need to contact individual program sponsors for specifics.
To apply for a non-NC State program you should submit the application materials to the non-NC State program provider.Additionally, in order to remain enrolled at NC State during your time abroad, you must complete the NC State Student Application for Semester/Year(or Summer) Non-NC State Programs by clicking "Apply Now" on this page.

You will take this form, and a printout of course descriptions for all courses that you might want to take while abroad, to your Academic Advisor and also to the designated advisor in your major college(s) for approval for transfer of the classes you plan to take abroad towards NC State course requirements. Course descriptions should be obtained from the program sponsor.
